St Mark Health Commission will offer CPR/AED training on Saturday, Aug 20, 2022. More than 350,000 Americans suffer cardiac arrest annually. Immediate resuscitation can double or triple a person’s chance of survival. In the U.S., someone dies of cardiovascular disease every 36 seconds and of a stroke every three minutes. You can be a lifesaver by learning CPR and how to use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

The class will be held in the Fellowship Hall from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Our favorite instructor Rob Pryce will teach the class.  Please be aware there is limited seating. You may sign up on the patio after church on Sunday, August 7 & 14, call Ann Scott your Parish Nurse (714-323-5046), or email the church office at

August 20th at the FivePoint Amphitheatre.
We are hoping to gather a group of folks from New Hope and St. Mark to watch a classic film with a classic music score, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on Saturday, Aug. 20th at 8:00pm. It will be shown with the Pacific Symphony performing the music, live, at the FivePoint Amphitheatre (14800 Chinon, Irvine, CA 92618). Tickets are free but you must register by Aug. 4th at this link here. For coordinating purposes, after you’ve registered, please email SueJeanne Koh at
so that we can organize a gathering together at some point before the screening. This is another great opportunity to get to know our New Hope friends, we hope you can make it!
