On Sunday, October 2nd, “World Communion Sunday”, we will collect one of four yearly special offerings by the PC(USA). This offering enables the entire Presbyterian denomination to collaborate in proclaiming Christ’s peace. 50% of the offering goes to the work of the global mission agency, 25% to mid councils and 25% for local congregations to engage in peacemaking and ministries of reconciliation. This year the Peace & Justice Commission has selected  “CIEL (Center for Experiential Learning) as the recipient of the Peace and Global Witness offering this year. Offering Envelopes are now available in the Narthex, tables outside, or ask an Usher. You may also donate online on our give page at https://www.stmarkpresbyterian.org/donate/. St. Mark members Larry and Dulcie Kugelman are involved in this organization which through experiential learning and immersive international travel in conflict-affected regions, inspires critical thinking and creative engagement to counter division and polarization working to bring peace to regions around the world in conflict or post conflict situations.
